Pair of DBs to stick with school; QB Ewers leaning to return … A couple of solid second-tier defensive backs have indicated that they will will be returning to school in 2024. Florida CB Jason Marshall, for example, announced on social media that he plans to return to school for the 2024 season, while Notre Dame S Xavier Watts, college football’s defensive player of the year in 2023 when he led the country in picks confirmed that he will also be returning for another year in South Bend. Meanwhile, there is still nothing definitive from Texas QB Quinn Ewers but it is believed that he still intends to return to school after he commented following the Longhorns national semi-final loss to Washington on Monday that they were going to ‘attack the off-season and work as hard as they could to get back’ to the playoffs. Stay tuned. Underclassmen have until January 15th to apply to the NFL for early admission to the 2024 draft.
