Packed house takes in Buckeyes’ pro day

March 26, 2025

Packed house takes in Buckeyes’ pro day … Over 140 NFL personnel people were in Columbus this afternoon for the Ohio State pro day including GMs Brian Gutenkunst of Green Bay and Atlanta’s Terry Fontenot. The Falcons, in fact, also had head coach Raheem Morris at the Buckeyes’ work out today which is no surprise as Atlanta has made no secret of the fact that they intend to focus on defence at the 2025 draft and Ohio State has prospects at all three levels on that side of the ball. Meanwhile, other coaches at Ohio State today include Ben Johnson of Chicago, Kellen Moore of New Orleans, Dallas’ Brian Schottenheimer, Pittsburgh’s Mike Tomlin and Mike Vrabel of New England.

Unfortunately, most of the top Ohio State prospects who chose not to run at the combine also opted to pass on field testing today. However, several did run including WR Emeka Egbuka, who timed in the 4.45-4.50 range, while CB Jordan Hancock impressed with a sub-4.45 40 clocking and a 41.5-inch vertical. At the same time, LB Cody Simon ran a solid 4.60 40, while S Lathan Ransom clocked in around 4.55 and DT Ty Hamilton posted a 4.95. Also of note, DT Tyliek Williams had to be helped off the field after going down during his first 40 run with an apparent leg injury, although later reports it is more likely a hamstring issue as opposed to a knee problem. Lastly, QB Will Howard reportedly put on a real show during his scripted throwing session. Here are the full results from the Ohio State pro day as reported by the school.
