OT moves could impact early draft

March 16, 2024

OT moves could impact early draft … There were a couple of transactions in the past day or so that could have ramifications on the first ten picks at the 2024 draft. Earlier today, for example, Tennessee released LT Andre Dillard after just one disastrous year with the Titans. And while the Titans do have several other young OTs that could be a fit, it looks more and more likely that Tennessee could address the position with the 7th pick overall at the upcoming draft. On the other hand, the NY Jets signed former free agent Dallas LT Tyron Smith, a perennial Pro Bowler with the Cowboys, late last week; that was after the Jets had traded for RT Morgan Moses earlier this month. The Jets had been fully expected to target the position with the 10th; however, while neither guy is exactly a spring chicken, one would think that the moves likely free up the Jets to address another issue such as DE or WR.
