OSU OT Johnson latest to enter draft … Ohio State junior OT Paris Johnson, who figures to be one of the first 2-3 offensive linemen selected this coming April, is the second 3rd year junior to announce today that they will be entering the 2023 draft. Earlier today, star Georgia DT Jalen Carter, a top 5 prospect, also declared for the upcoming draft. In fact, the clock is ticking on underclassmen planning on entering this year’s draft. They have until the end of business on January 16th to file paperwork with the NFL in order to be eligible to be selected this spring. Players who have completed four years of college eligibility, not including a redshirt year, are considered to be eligible for the 2023 draft; however, if they do have eligibility remaining, they can opt out of the draft by submitting a request to the league by February 3rd.
