OSU DE Young walks back stay in school comment

OSU DE Young walks back stay in school comment … As we kind of thought when we first heard it, Ohio State junior DE Chase Young has clarified his comment earlier this weekend when he indicated that he planned to return to school for his senior season. Young, expected to be either the first or second player selected at the upcoming draft, had responded “that’s the plan” when he was approached the previous day by a TMZ cameraman while walking through Times Square in New York with his family on Saturday. After last night’s Heisman Trophy presentation ceremony, though, Young told reporters that “that moment was just a real spontaneous moment. It caught me off-guard. But I’m not really worried about anything in the future. I’m just worried about beating Clemson.” The Buckeyes play Clemson in one of two national CFP playoff games on December 28th in the Fiesta Bowl. Translated, Young’s comment appears to mean he isn’t going to make any announcement until after the playoffs when it is fully expected that he will enter the draft.
