One QB back; one not; one iffy as college KO hour nears … Kentucky has confirmed that QB Will Levis will ply this evening when the Wildcats play Mississippi State. Levis, one of the top 2-3 prospects at the position for the 2023 draft, has missed the past couple of weeks with foot and finger injuries. On the other hand, NC State has confirmed that QB Devin Leary, a very good second-tier candidate for the upcoming draft, will not play later today when the Wolfpack face Syracuse. Leary has a shoulder injury. THE big qustion today, though, is whether Alabama’s Bryce Young will play when the third-ranked Tide play at #6 Tennessee this afternoon. Young, the reigning Heisman holder and another top 2-3 QB prospect for this coming April, sprained a shoulder joint a couple of weeks; Tide head coach Nick Saban says he’s ‘hopeful’ Young can play but likely won’t make a final decision until warmups. At the same time, though, rising Tennessee WR Cedric Tillman won’t play.
