No rest for weary scouts as pro days loom … Even though the scouting combine is now pretty much in the books, there won’t be much of a break for NFL personnel people as they’re already starting to fan out for the annual pro day schedule which gets underway this coming week. In fact, some scouts will just be hanging around Indianapolis as the first major pro days are at Indiana on Tuesday and then Purdue on Wednesday. Some of the other key dates on this year’s schedule include Georgia on March 12th, Oregon and South Carolina on March 18th; Alabama on the 19th; Michigan and Missouri on the 21st; Miami (and Cam Ward) on the 24th; and Penn State on the 28th.Maybe THE date on the schedule is the 26th when there will be pro days at Ohio State, Texas, LSU, and Boise State. Then there’s the Big XII which will for the second year in a row will hold a joint combine type event in Dallas; this year from the 18th thru the 20th. So far so good, but remember Colorado, with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, is in the conference and its not clear whether those two will actually workout at the Big XII event or will hold a private pro day back at Colorado. Stay tuned. As for now these are the key pro days we know are scheduled.
