No missed game time for Tide duo … Alabama has announced that star Alabama junior OT Cam Robinson, a top 5-10 prospect for the 2017 draft, and DB Hootie Jones will not miss any game time as a result of an off-field incident earlier this summer in which they were found in a car in Monroe County, LA with drugs and what turned out to be a stolen gun. The discovery of the latter could have resulted in a felony charge, but police were reportedly not able to deduce which of the two was actually in possession of the weapon and the charges were ultimately dropped. According to Alabama head coach Nick Saban, the pair were subjected to some internal discipline. Defending national champion Alabama opens the season on September 3rd against Southern California in the Jerry Jones Bowl in Arlington.
