No easy pickings for team’s with top picks

December 2, 2018

No automatic wins at top of selection order … Hard to believe, but the NFL regular schedule hits the three-quarter pole this weekend with all teams playing their 12th game of the campaign. And for the second week in a row there is a better than even chance that there may not be any changes in the current selection order for the opening round of the 2019 draft as just about all the team’s with early picks are in tough to some degree later today. San Francisco which is currently sitting on the #1 pick overall, for example, plays at resurgent Seattle, while #2 Arizona plays at Green Bay, which is desperate for a win to keep its fading playoff hopes alive. The Jets, at #4, also get a team with a sub-.500 record, but must also must go on the road to do as they play at 5-6 Tennessee. On the other hand, both Oakland, at #2, and the #5 Giants are home today, but against division leaders with the Raiders hosting Kansas City and the Giants meeting Chicago. As usual, the opening round selection order for the upcoming draft will be updated at the conclusion of tomorrow’s Monday night game.
