Niners’ QB Lance breaks ankle, Jimmy G back in … San Francisco QB Trey Lance broke an ankle in today’s 27-7 win over Seattle and will miss the rest of the season. Lance was replaced by former 49ers’ starter Jimmy Garoppolo who remains with the team after attempts to trade him prior to the start of the season failed. It also now seems highly unlikely that the 49ers will trade Garoppolo before next month’s trade deadline, although he would still likely become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the campaign.
