Niners lose future pick to clerical error … San Francisco will forfeit its 5th round pick in 2025 because the club made an error when calculating last year’s player payroll. The 49ers will also had their 2024 4th round pick pushed back from #131 to the #135 at the end of the round. the penalty wasn’t more because the 49ers remained under the salary cap at all times last year and that there was no intent to circumvent the cap. With the Niners dropping down 4 spots several other teams got o move up one spot. Ironically one of those was, well the 49ers who also had the 133rd pick which is now pick #132. That’ll teach ’em!!
