NFL is reportedly ‘investigating’ Falcons’ Cousins signing for tampering … The NFL is reportedly conducting what it calls a routine investigation into Atlanta’s signing of FA QB Kirk Cousins. In fact, there are a number of questions that the league may be looking at including did Cousins or his agents talk with Falcons’ official prior to the beginning of the two-day window of opportunity for teams to talk with potential free agents prior to the start of the new football year on Wednesday; were any players who were lobbying Cousins to sign with the team working as actual team reps; did Cousins have any direct contact with team officials during the window of opportunity; and did he share any materials such as medical evaluations before that was allowed.
