More one-win games

Draft selection order could come into focus … While there will still be ten weeks to go in the NFL’s regular schedule after this weekend’s games, there is a chance that the early selection order for the 2016 draft may actually start to come into focus as early as today. For starters, Detroit, the NFL’s only remaining winless team which would by default have had the #1 pick overall were the draft held this past week, will be hosting Chicago in another a 1 PM ET game later this afternoon. While the Bears have won a couple of games in a row – albeit by two over Oakland two weeks ago and 1 point over KC last week – this is one of the easiest games on the Lions schedule. Lose today and Detroit could be looking at a season-long run at the top pick. Meanwhile, there could also be a little sorting out among the teams immediately behind the Lions in the draft pecking order as for the second week in  row a number of one-win teams will be playing each other including Houston at Jacksonville and Miami at Tennessee in early Sunday afternoon games, while Baltimore (1-4) will be at San Francisco (1-4) in late afternoon contest. And once the dust has settled this weekend, we will be posting the initial updated, current selection order for the upcoming draft. Stay tuned.
