More college injury updates … Several more college players are out for the year including Boston College ILB Connor Strachan, the Eagles’ leading tackler in 2016, who will the rest of the year with a knee injury. Strachan is still eligible to redshirt so could apply for a 5th year as a medical hardship  next season. Same story for North Carolina possession receiver Austin Proehl, who is out for the year with a broken collarbone. Proehl, the son of former NFLer Ricky Proehl, is a late-round/free agent type prospect who had 43 receptions last fall. South Carolina OLB Bryson Allen-Williams is also out for the year after undergoing shoulder surgery. Allen-Williams is an improving player who had a couple of sacks and a pick in the Gamecocks’ first three games this year. Meanwhile, Villanova safety Rob Rolle, one of the top FCS prospects for the 2018 draft, is out for the season with a torn ACL in his knee that he suffered in last Saturday’s loss to Albany. Rolle, a pre-season All-American, had 7 interceptions last season, which was the most in the FCS. (GBN Investigative College Reporter Larry Parker contributed to this story.)
