Miami TE Njoku enters draft

December 29, 2016

Canes TE Njoku enters draft … This year’s strong TE draft class got even stronger last night as Miami redshirt sophomore David Njoku announced after the Hurricanes’ impressive 31-14 bowl win over West Virginia that he will be entering the 2017 draft. At 6-4, 245, Njoku is really a big WR in a TEs body, but he has exceptional speed and a huge upside. Right now he is considered to be an early second-day prospect for the upcoming draft, but Njoku has the kind or rare athleticism to blow up the combine and ultimately go much higher. Meanwhile, NFL teams are still waiting to hear from Njoku’s Miami teammate junior Brad Kaaya who is also expected to jump to the pros this off-season.
