Mayock posts Top 100 … NFL.com draft analyst Mike Mayock, arguably the most respected guy in the business these days and certainly one of the best connected, has posted his list of Top 100 prospects for this week’s draft. For the most part, Mayock’s ranking reflect conventional wisdom within the draft guru community. Indeed, Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett is his top prospect overall, followed by Alabama DE Jonathan Allan and LSU SS Jamal, with LSU RB Leonard Fournette and Stanford DE Solomon Thomas rounding out the top 5. However, Mayock does have Missouri DE Charles Harris rated higher (#15) than most others, while he has USC CB Adoree Jackson (#22), Ole Miss TE Evan Engram (#24) and Tennessee RB Alvin Kamara (#25) cracking the top 30. On the other hand, Mayock rates Jabrill Peppers at 326, while he he has North Carolina QB Mitch Trubisky, the consensus #1 prospect at the position, only at #30. Mayock also has several top defensive players including Michigan DE Taco Charlton (#49), Vanderbilt LB Zach Cunningham (#59), and Michigan State DT Malik McDowell (#66) rated well below where most other analysts have them graded.
