Top prospect Fournette out again … Star junior LSU RB Len Fournette, who is generally considered to be top one of the top prospects for the 2017 draft, will miss a second straight game when the Tigers play at Florida – weather permitting – on Saturday. Fournette has been dealing with an ankle injury since the pre-season and did not play in last week’s game against Missouri. While the injury is not believed to be particularly serious, it is making it harder for pro scouts to establish their grades on Fournette. Just for the record, the LSU-Florida is still scheduled for noon ET on Saturday despite the storm that is threatening the east coast as we speak. Meanwhile, there is no word yet from Texas A&M whether junior DE Myles Garrett will play this weekend when the 8th ranked Aggies host 9th ranked Tennessee in a huge intra-divisional SEC contest. Garrett, who is considered to be the top prospect overall for this year’s draft, had his ankle rolled two weeks ago and did not dress last weekend. A&M is also awaiting word on the status of WRs Ricky Seals-Jones and Speedy Noil who also did not play last weekend because of injuries. At the same time, Tennessee has ruled OLB Jalen Reeves-Maybin out of this weekend’s game because of a shoulder injury that has limited him since mid-September.
