LSU RB Fournette lighter, S Adams faster at LSU pro day … Still waiting for the full results of today’s LSU pro day, but among the highlights were the facts that star RB Leonard Fornette weighed in almost 12 pounds lighter than he was at the combine, as well as that FS Jamal Adams ran under 4.40 seconds in the 40, again well under his somewhat disappointing time at the combine. Fournette raised some eyebrows at the combine when he weighed in at a bulky 240 pounds, although the fact that he was able to run the 40 in 4.51 seconds assuaged some of those concerns. Today, though, he weighed just 228 pounds at the Tigers’ pro day which is closer to where NFL teams would like to see him play at. Meanwhile, Adams reportedly was credited with a 4.38 seconds 40 today with some original reports listing him at 4.33. Needless to say that’s a major improvement over his disappointing time of 4.56 seconds in Indianapolis and certainly won’t do anything to damage his cred as a potential top 5 candidate for this month’s draft. Here are the full, unofficial results from the LSU pro day. Meanwhile, a couple of LSU players who were not at the combine had decent workouts. DE Lewis Neal, for example, weighed in at 6-0.5, 261 with 33.5-inch arms and ran the 40 in 4.72 seconds, while he posted 23 reps in the bench press and a 36-inch vertical. At the same time, TE Colin Jeter measured in at 6-6, 251 and ran the 40 in 4.75 seconds, while veteran OG Josh Boutte weighed in at 6-4, 351 and ran a decent 40 of 5.27 seconds at that size.
