Last one out the Pac-12 door, please turn off the lights

Last one out the Pac-12 door, please turn off the lights … Just a few weeks ago, the Pac-12 conference looked like it had the potential to be a real power conference this year with as many as 4 teams with legitimate CFP aspirations. And that should still happen; however, for all intents and purposes to conference no longer exists as 5 schools have left the league in literally the past 24 hours. It started with Arizona pretty much confirming that they’ll be switching to the Big XII next fall. Hours later, both Oregon and Washington were were accepted into the Big Ten and then almost immediately afterward, Arizona State and Utah also applied to the Big XII. Earlier this year, Southern California and UCLA shook up the college football world by jumping to the Big Ten, while just a couple of weeks ago, Colorado moved back to the Big XII. That leaves the Pac-12 with just four programs – Stanford, California, Oregon State and Washington State and really nowhere to go, unless they too can find a home in the Big XII. For the record, the Big XII now has 16 teams, while the Big Ten has 18.
