Kinchens slowish; Owens dinged in safety run … The 40 runs for the safeties are in the books and here are the official results. Notably, Miami’s Kamren Kinchens, the consensus #1 safety in this year’s draft, actually had the slowest (4.65) time of the safeties that did run this afternoon. In the end, the fastest time for the safeties was posted by Dadrion Taylor-Demerson of Texas Tech who posted a quick 4.41, followed by Utah’s Cole Bishop at 4.45. Other notables included the Georgia duo of Javon Bullard (4.47) and Tykee Smith (4.46), and Calen Bullock of USC (4.50) who were well within the acceptable parameter for DBs, while Minnesota’s Tyler Nubin chose not to run. Of note, Tyler Owens, the other Texas Tech safety in Indianapolis this week who had been expected to blow the combine up, pulled up lame on his initial run.
