Jets’ Wilson out 2-4 weeks with PCL sprain

October 25, 2021

Jets’ Wilson out 2-4 weeks with PCL sprain … It could have been worse, but NY Jets’ rookie QB Zack Wilson, the second player selected at the 2021 draft, will ‘only’ miss 2-4 weeks after an MRI earlier today confirmed that he indeed suffered what is being described as a minor sprained PCL during yesterday’s loss at New England. Given that time frame, Wilson will definitely miss this weekend’s game with Cincinnati and could miss the Jets’ first game with Buffalo in three weeks. However, Wilson should be back for the ‘stretch drive’ of the season during which time the road to the top pick at the 2022 draft definitely runs through the Jets half of MetLife Stadium. During that second half of the campaign, the Jets do have a second game with the Bills; they also have a date with old-friend Tom Brady and the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. At the same time, though, the Bills also have their two games with Miami, as well as single encounters with early-pick contenders Jacksonville, Houston, Philadelphia, and Indianapolis over the final two months of the season.
