Jets hire new G.M. … As expected, the New York Jets have hired Mike Maccagnan as their new General Manager. Maccagnan had been director of college scouting for Houston since 2011; he replaces John Idzik who was fired after two seasons on the job at the end of the season. First order of business for Maccagan will be to help finalize the hiring of a new head coach for the Jets.
