Jags, LT Robinson agree to long-term deal

April 27, 2022

Jags extend LT Robinson … Literally just hours before the start of the 2022 draft at which they have the 1st pick overall, Jacksonville has reportedly agreed on a contract extension with LT Cam Robinson. Robinson, who played last year under a franchise tag and had been franchised again this spring, resigned a 3-year deal worth a reported $54M. With the uncertainty surrounding Robinson’s status, there had been speculation that the Jags could use the first pick on an OT like Evan Neal of Alabama or NC State’s Ickey Ekwonu, but the deal with Robinson likely takes that off the table and leaves the Jags free to selected either of edge rushers Aidan Hutchinson of Michigan or Georgia’s Travon Walker with the firts pick.
