Jags hire Pederson as head coach … The longest current on-going coach search has apparently ended as Jacksonville has reportedly come to terms with former Philadelphia coach Doug Pederson who not that long ago guided the Eagles to their only Super Bowl win. Pederson replaces Urban Meyer who was fired late this past season. Pederson became the guy when former NFL QB Byron Leftwich reportedly dropped out of the race when it became clear that the Jaguars wouldn’t be firing G.M. Trent Baalke as he had requested. And job 31 for Pederson once he arrives in Jacksonville will be help the organization decide what it wants to do with the top pick overall at this year’s draft.
