Its #1 v #1 to kick off week … Interesting game of sorts to kick off week #4 on the NFL schedule as Jacksonville plays at Cincinnati later this evening with KO set for 8:20 PM ET on the NFL Network. That sets up a duel between the players taken first overall in each of the past two drafts with Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars, the #1 pick this past spring, going against Joe Burrow of the Bengals, the top pick overall in 2020. The game also some potential to impact the early selection order at the 2022 draft as the Jaguars are currently sitting on one of the top two picks for next year based on current standings and the Bengals, despite a 2-1 record, are one team on the Jags short list of what appear to be possible winnable games. And Jacksonville, which is on a current 18-game losing streak going back to the 2020 opener, need to take advantage of every winnable game they play.
