IT IS OVER!!! … They are dancing in the streets – and drinking free beer – in Cleveland after the Browns ended their 19-game winless streak with a 21-17 win over the New York Jets. The game also marked the start of the Baker Mayfield era in Cleveland; Mayfield, the #1 pick overall at the 2018 draft, came off the bench with the Browns down 14-0 late in the first half to replace an injured – and very ineffective – Tyrod Taylor at the helm of the Cleveland offense. Overall, Mayfield finished the night with 17 completions on 23 passes for 201 yards. Along the way, Mayfield outdueled fellow rookie QB Sam Darnold, taken two picks later by the Jets, who completed just 15 of 31 passes with a couple of picks.
