Is Tide QB Simpson rethinking draft commit? … Now former Alabama QB Ty Simpson announced that he would be bypassing his final year of eligibility to enter the 2026 draft. However, that has not stopped a number of prominent programs from throwing some big NIL numbers at Simpson to see if they can possibly change his mind. In fact, there are reports that Miami has offered Simpson $6.5M, while both Tennessee and Mississippi have offered $4M. At least for now, though, reporting seems to indicate that Simpson is still leaning toward the draft, but it also appears that he has yet to actually submit paperwork with the NFL for early entry to this year’s draft, with that deadline coming up on Wednesday.
