Irish QB Golson to transfer … As had been anticipated for some time, QB Everette Golson has announced that he will be leaving Notre Dame and transferring to another school. As he has already graduated, Golson will be eligible to compete right away in 2015 if he moves to another FBS school and enrols in a graduate program not available at Notre Dame. Golson, who led the Irish to the national championship game in 2012, but did not play the following year after he was suspended for academic issues, had a bounce back year last season when he threw for just under 3,500 yards and 29 touchdowns, but lost playing time down the stretch because of turnovers. Golson is considered to be a mid-to-late round prospect for the 2016 draft.
