That settles that: injured Irish LB enters draft … Notre Dame junior OLB Jaylon Smith announced earlier this morning that he would in fact be entering the 2016 draft. Smith, of course, had been considered to be a potential top 5 pick this year, but underwent surgery late last week after he tore an ACL in the Irish’s Fiesta Bowl loss to Ohio State. However, despite the injury, Smith is still expected to be an opening round pick, although more likely later in the round than first thought.
