Husky WR heads to draft; other college wire notes … Washington junior WR Denzell Boston, one of the top prospects at the position for the upcoming draft, has announced that he will in fact be tuning pro this winter. The rangy (6-3, 210) Boston, who had 62 receptions this past season for almost 9oo yards and 11 scores, is currently generally considered to be the #4 receiver in this year’s draft class behind the top trio of Tyson, Tate and Lemon and is the #18 overall prospect on the latest GBN Big Board. Meanwhile, Jacksonville State junior RB Cam Cook, who leads all college football in rushing with almost 1,700 yards this season, has announced that he’s going to pass on the draft ad instead will enter the transfer portal when it opens on January. It also appears as if rising Minnesota DE Anthony Smith will also be passing on the 2026 draft; the 6-6, 285-pound Smith who had 10.5 sacks this past fall will be in uniform in the Gophers bowl game later this week and reportedly the only remaining question is whether he’ll stay with the program or transfer. And while it won’t affect the 2026 draft, South Carolina DE Dylan Stewart, a potential #1 prospect overall in 2027 when he’s finally draft eligible, has confirmed that he’s staying with the Gamecocks next fall.
