Second Husker DT enters draft early … Nebraska junior DT Vince Valentine is the latest underclassman to announce that they will be forgoing their final year of college eligibility to enter the 2016
draft. In doing so, Valentie becomes the second Husker junior DT to enter the draft after Maliek Collins announced his intention to turn pro earlier this month. While Collins appears to have at least a second-round grade from NFL scouts, Valentine is something of a mystery because the 6-2, 320-pounder didn’t play much this fall because of injuries; however, in 2014 he had 45 tackles, including 3 sacks and 4 other tackles for loss and has some upside. Valentine is also the 86th underclassmen to have announced in one way or another that they intend to enter the upcoming draft. Juniors and redshirt sophomores have until the end of business next Monday to file paperwork with the NFL to be included in this year’s draft.
