Hula Bowl to kick-off star game season … This year’s major post-season college all-star game schedule gets underway on Saturday with the Hula Bowl, which will actually be played in Orlando while the stadium in Hawai’i continues to be refurbished. Kick-off time is set for Noon ET with coverage available on the CBS Sports Network. And while the Hula Bowl remains something of a poor cousin of the truly major star games such as the Senior Bowl and East-West Shrine game, this year’s event does have a number of players that could be late-round or premium free agent calls next April including QBs Ben Bryant of Northwestern, Spencer Sanders of Mississippi, Louisville’s Jack Plummer and John Rhys Plumlee of UCF, along with Boise State RB George Holani, OGs Matt Jones of Ohio State, BYU’s Clark Barrington and Jarrett Kingston of USC, DE Solomon Byrd of USC, DTEric Watts of UConn, LB Omar Speights of LSU, CB Storm Duck of Louisville and safeties Demani Richardson of Texas A&M and Florida State’s Akeem Dent. Unfortunately, the Hula Bowl itself does not appear to have published the game-day rosters, but Pro Football Network has posted the heights and weights of both the Aina and Kai teams.
