Cougar WR enters draft … Houston junior WR Demarcus Ayers became the latest underclassmen to announce their intention to enter the 2016 draft. While not exactly a household name even in Houston, the 5-9, 180-pound Ayers had a breakout season this fall, his first as a full-time starter, as he caught 98 passes for over 1,200 yards and 6 touchdowns; Ayers, though, is still rated as only a late-round of free agent candidate as he lacks impressive measurables. Ayers decision brings the number of underclassmen to have indicated in one way or another that they will be entering the upcoming draft to 44 by our unofficial count.
