Horns OT Williams to skip bowl, enter draft … Texas junior LT Connor Williams has become the first big-name underclassman to formally announce that he will be skipping his final year of eligibility and entering the 2018 draft. Williams, who missed most of the current season with a knee injury also indicated that he will not play in the Longhorns’ bowl game next month. Williams was considered to be a potential top 5-10 prospect for the upcoming draft prior to the season, but suffered a torn MCL in his left knee in the third game of the season. Williams finally returned to the lineup this past weekend when he started the Longhorns win over West Virginia. The good news for Williams – not to mention NFL teams looking to upgrade their offensive line this off-season – is that he should be good to go for pre-draft testing at the combine and pro days.
