Giants ship disappointing WR Toney to Chiefs for picks … One of the big debates surrounding the resurgent NY Giants was whether the WR-challenged team would look to add a quality receiver before next week’s trade deadline. Instead, the Giants unloaded one of their own WRs shipping 2021 first rounder Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs for 3rd and 6th round picks in 2023. The third rounder is being reported as the compensatory pick the Chiefs are expected to receive for losing Ryan Poles to Chicago. If the Chiefs do not receive that comp pick the Giants will get the Chiefs 4th rounder. The Giants had selected Toney with the 20th pick at the 2021 draft, but he barely played since; indeed, he has just two catches for 0 yards so far this fall as he has battled hamstring problems.
