Giants lose 2nd round FS to injury … Its been a bad week all-around for former SEC safeties selected in the second round of the 2020 draft. Yesterday, Cleveland placed former LSU FS Grant Delpit, their 2nd round pick this year, on IR after he ruptured an Achilles tendon that will require season-ending surgery. Then today, the NY Giants announced that former Alabama FS Xavier McKinney, who was selected 8 picks earlier than Delpit in the second round, broke a bone in his foot that will also require surgery, although the Giants are hopeful that he’ll be able to return this season.
