Giants get star ER Burns from Panthers for picks; updated … Jut hours after they lost one of their few star players to free agency, the Giants returned the favor by trading for Carolina ER Brian Burns. In exchange the Panthers will get the first of two Giants’ 2nd round pick this year – #39 overall – as well as a 2025 5th rounder. There are also unconfirmed reports that the final deal will also include of either 4th or 5th round picks this year. To complete the deal, the Giants signed Burns, who had been franchised by the Panthers, to a new 5Y, $130M contract. AS reported earlier today, the Giants had lost RB Saquon Barkley who had signed as a FA with Philadelphia.
