Giants first off the mark; name Schoen G.M. … The Giants became the first team looking for a new G.M. this off-season to get their man as they announced earlier today that they had hired Joe Schoen as their new general manager; Schoen had been the assistant G.M. with Buffalo. He replaces Dave Gettleman, who retired last week after a four-year stint with the team. Schoen’s first order of business will be to head the team’s search for a new head coach which is already underway. Indeed, the Giants will interview both Brian Daboll and Leslie Frazier, the Bills’ offensive and defensive co-ordinators respectively, tomorrow. It is also expected they’ll interview former Miami head coach Brian Flores in the next few days..
