Giants, 49ers stay 1-2 in selection order; Raiders up to #3

Giants, 49ers stay 1-2 in selection order; Raiders up to #3 … For the third week in a row, the NY Giants will hold the #1 pick in the proverbial ‘if the draft were held today’ selection order for the opening round of the 2019 after losing to division rival Washington 20-13 earlier this afternoon. At the same time, San Francisco will hold onto the 2nd spot as a result of a heart-breaking last minute loss in Arizona to the Cardinals. Meanwhile, were the draft held this week, Oakland would have the third selection following a loss to Indianapolis this afternoon. Something has to give over the next two weeks, though, as the 49ers play both Oakland and the Giants in the next two games. The rest of the opening round won’t be settled though until after tomorrow night’s Monday night between Buffalo and New England. A loss by the Bills would leave them with the 4th pick this year followed by Arizona and Cleveland. However, an upset win by Buffalo and Arizona and Cleveland would slide up into the 4-5 spots. As usual, the full, updated selection order as it stands this week will be posted after the Monday night game.
