GBN Top 100 tweaked … With the first full month of the college season now in the books, the GBN scout staff (well actually Chief Scout Larry Parker, who does much of this stuff for us these days) has adjusted the GBN Top 100 for the 2022 draft based on how the season has played out to date. And as suggested in some recent reporting, there has been some slippage among the QBs with Sam Howell of North Carolina dropping to #18, with Oklahoma’s Spencer Rattler all the way down to #28. At the same time, though, three QBs – Liberty’s Malik Willis (at #6), Matt Corral of Mississippi (at #9) and Nevada’s Carson Strong (#10) – are still in the top 10. The biggest changes, though are at WR where Treylon Burks of Arkansas is all the way up to #5, with Penn State speedster Jahan Dotson now at #11. Also note a couple of interior offensive linemen on the rise. Iowa C Tyler Linderbaum, for example, appears to have cracked a number of top 20s around the league despite the fact that he’s not necessarily the biggest guy out there at a listed 6-3, 290. Meanwhile, NC State OG Ikem Ekwonu appears to have moved up into the top 25 to 30 area.
