FOX out; ABC in for 2019 draft coverage … The NFL’s experiment with prime time draft coverage will have a different set of characters this coming spring as the league has confirmed that ABC will replace FOX in providing network coverage of the event. Cable coverage by ESPN and the NFL Network will be unchanged and while ABC and ESPN are partners, ABC will reportedly provide its own coverage rather than simply simulcast the ESPN version. The ABC coverage, which will be anchored by the popular ESPN College Gameday team of Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard. will reportedly be tailored more to the more casual fan. The 2019 draft is scheduled for April 25-27 next spring in Nashville.
