Fox draft analyst posts mid-season top 25 … For those that haven’t seen it yet, Rob Rang, Fox’s lead draft analyst has posted his mid-season Top 25 for the 2024 draft. We note it because Rang has proven in the past to be one of the better analysts in the business; we also note it because he has some interesting twists in his current ranking. Rang does have the usual suspects in his top 5: QBs Williams and Maye, WR Harrison, OT Fashanu and TE Bowers. However, after that there are some interesting grades that run a little contrary to what appears to be the current consensus. Rang, for example, has Georgia OT Amarius Mims as his 6th best overall prospect; he also has Texas A&M DT McKinley Jackson all the way up at #14 and Utah DE Jonah Elliss, who does lead the country with 7.5 sacks so far this season, at #25. Meanwhile, perhaps the most interesting position in Rang’s ranking are the WRs as he has Florida State’s Keon Coleman in the top 10 at #8 and LSU’s Malik Nabers at #10. He’s also got Texas WR AD Mitchell at #15 and Tory Horton of Colorado State, who leads the FBS in receiving, at #22. On the other hand, Rang only has Florida State DE Jared Verse and Notre Dame OT John Alt at #s 17 and 18 respectively, whereas most other analysts have them solidly in the top ten.
