Four more enter draft … Four more juniors have announced within the past day or so that they will be entering the 2020 draft including Texas A&M WR Quartney Davis; RB Tony Jones and S Alohi Gilman of Notre Dame, and Penn State WR K J Hamler. The 5-9, 175-pound Hamler, who had 56 receptions in 2019 for just over 900 yards and 8 TDs, is arguably the top prospect in the group; he’s an early second round prospect who is currently the 7th ranked player on the GBN positional analysis and the 36th overall prospect on the GBN Big Board. For his part, A&M’s Davis is an early third round prospect (70th overall on the GBN Big Board) with better tools than Hamler, but not the same productivity as he only had 48 receptions this past season for less than 12 yards per catch, and only 4 scores. While Notre Dame is losing two players to the draft, neither of whom is considered to be more than a fringe candidate, the Irish got some good news with the announcement that junior QB Ian Book will be returning for his senior campaign. Same story at Temple where junior ER Quincy Roche, the AAC Defensive Player of the Year, who had 13 sacks this season, has opted to stay in school rather than enter the draft.
