Four head to NFL; one stays … After a quiet weekend on the underclassman front, four juniors announced this morning they were entering this year’s draft including Washington OLB Shaq Thompson, LSU DE Danielle Hunter, Florida OT D.J. Humphries and Rice DT Chris Covington. Thompson, one of the more versatile players in the country who also played RB for the Huskies this fall, is considered to have first-round potential for the upcoming draft, while Hunter is a second-round candidate and Humphries a later second-day option. For his part, Covington, one of several Canadians who will be eligible for the upcoming draft, is a third-day prospect. Meanwhile, West Virginia has confirmed that junior free safety Karl Joseph, a second team all-Big XII selection this fall after he racked up 90 tackles with the Mountaineers will be returning to Morgantown for his senior season next fall.
