Double-dip kicks off first full pre-season week … The first full weekend of NFL pre-season action gets underway Thursday evening with a couple of games. Carolina will be at New England, while Detroit will be in New York to play the Giants. Both games have 7 PM ET KOs with the Panthers-Patriots game live on the NFL Network, while the Lions-Giants will be shown at 11 PM ET. For the record, Patriots’ rookie QB Drake May, the 3rd pick overall at this past April’s draft, is expected to play when New England hosts Carolina. Washington’s Jayden Daniels, the 2nd pick this year, will also play when the Commanders face the NY Jets at Noon ET on Saturday afternoon. On the other hand, it is not clear whether Caleb Williams, the first player selected overall this year, will see any action when the Bears play the Bills in Buffalo at 1 PM ET on Saturday.
