Falcons tab Morris as new head coach; Rams to get comp picks … Atlanta confirmed this evening that they have agreed to terms with LA Rams’ defensive co-ordinator to be the team’s new head coach. Interesting choice in that the Falcons interviewed Bill Belichik, arguably the most successful coach in NFL history, twice, but ultimately settled for a guy with a 21-38 career record in two previous head coaching stints. In fact, one of those previous stints was actually with the Falcons when Morris took over on an interim basis in 2020 after Dan Quinn was fired. And because Morris is a minority candidate, the Rams will get a couple of compensatory picks at the end of the third rounds this year and next.
