Senior Bowl set to get underway … Many of the top prospects for the 2018 draft, as well as just about anybody whose anybody in the NFL scouting community, are gathering in Mobile as we speak for the annual Senior Bowl. Things get underway bright and early tomorrow with the measurement and weigh-ins of all the players. Then both teams hit the field for the first of three days of practice sessions tomorrow afternoon. Unfortunately, there is no TV coverage of the weigh-ins which can be most entertaining, but the NFL Network will be covering all three days of practice starting at 1 PM ET each day. And while in the past the Senior Bowl has largely been the preserve of second-tier prospects this year is different in that two of the top QBs in this year’s draft – Josh Allen of Wyoming and Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma, this year’s Heisman Trophy winner – will both be in Mobile trying to use the opportunity to close the gap on fellow QBs Sam Darnold of USC and UCLA’s Josh Rosen, arguably the top two prospects overall for the upcoming draft. In fact, the most anticipated moment of the first day of Senior Bowl week will be tomorrow morning when we find exactly how tall Mayfield actually is with the over/under at 5-11! While Mayfield and Allen will be the main attraction, there is a bunch of really good prospects for this year’s draft NFL scouts want to see in the Senior Bowl environment including Washington State QB Luke Falk; San Diego State RB Rashaad Penny; Oklahoma State WR James Washington; OTs Brian O’Neill of Pittsburgh and Oregon’s Tyrell Crobsy; OGs Will Hernandez of UTEP, Isaiah Wynn of Georgia, Clemson’s Taylor Hearn and Austin Corbett of Nevada; C/T Mason Cole of Michigan; DEs Da’Shawn Hand of Alabama, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo of Oklahoma, and Marcus Davenport of Texas-San Antonio; DT Harrison Phillips of Stanford; ILB Dorian O’Daniel of Clemson. here are current North and South team rosters for reference.
