Emerging SDSU LT off roster … Potentially interesting situation at San Diego State where emerging redshirt sophomore LT Tyler Roemer has been removed from the roster after being suspended the past couple of games for an unspecified violation of team rules. According to team officials, the 6-6, 315-pound Roemer, a freshman All-American last fall who had started 23 straight games prior to the suspension, could be re-instated, but that would not happen before summer at the earliest. Roemer could also opt to transfer, but would have to sit out the 2019 campaign if he wanted to stay at the FBS level. As a redshirt sophomore, Roemer could also opt to enter the upcoming draft where he would be an intriguing potential second-day prospect as he has excellent length and quick feet, although obviously he’d have to answer questions about the current off-field situation. GBN Investigative College Football Analyst Larry Parker is tracking this and other underclassman situation on the Junior Scoreboard. Stay tuned!
