Eagles stay in-house for new personnel guy … Philadelphia has named Ed Marynowitz the team’s new VP of player personnel to basically run their scouting department for head coach and de facto G.M. Chip Kelly. The 31-year-old Marynowitz had been the Eagles’ assistant director of player personnel the past couple of years after coming to the team from the college ranks. In fact, there has been some speculation that the Eagles may actually have wanted someone with more NFL experience, but were rebuffed on several fronts before ultimately settling on Marynowitz. The move comes after the Eaglesshook up their front office at the end of regular season when Kelly was essentially given control over the club’s football operations, with former G.M. Howie Roseman being kicked upstairs.
