Ducks’ QB Moore to NFL: ‘er, maybe not so fast!’ … The college football season has essentially reached the midway mark of the campaign; however, if anyone hoping that we’d finally be getting some clarity on the QB situation for the 2026 is probably going to be sorely disappointed. The consensus around the NFL still appears to be that while there are a lot of passers out there with a talent none has yet to really step up and firmly establish themselves as a legit top 5-10 prospect. As a result, different names keep bubbling to the surface of the draft cauldron at the position. The latest is Oregon’s Dante Moore, who has quietly emerged as both a leading Heisman Trophy candidate as well as possible top prospect for the upcoming draft. Moore, who will have two years of eligibility left after this season, has quietly let it be known, though, that he’s ‘in no rush to leave the program.’ Moore is just a 3rd year player who is for all intents and purposes is starting for just the first time this fall, although he did start several games as a true freshman at UCLA in 2023 before transferring north last year when he backed up Dillon Gabriel for the Ducks. Scouts, though, may get a little more clarity this weekend as Moore and his 2nd ranked Ducks host #8 Indiana and QB Fernando Mendoza, who is generally considered to be the other top prospect at the position, on Saturday.
